INFINITE CITY :: Walls&Borders Contemporary Enclaves
Since the end of World War II until today, the walls seem to be multiplied over the entire globe for a total of almost 8,000 kilometers of barriers on four continents. if the wall is a territorial "sign" to mark boundaries and divide, humanity next to these edges is a "tension" aimed at overcoming and contaminating that pressing and crowding. Elements of economic, cultural and social divisions in a globalized world, the walls have become an ironically tool conditioned to globalization and the free market.

In the society of services and intangible production, new barriers characterized by marginalized and subordinate spaces are born. Celebrated as a place of new freedoms, generated by the decline of the labor society and the constraints connected to it, the "infinite city" of postmodernist rhetoric actually reveals itself as a place where new divisions take place and prohibitions and barriers multiply.
