_ "Ruins represent pure time, undated, absent from our world of images, simulacra and reconstructions, from our violent world whose rubble no longer has time to become ruins. A lost time that happens to the art of finding." _ [ Le temps en ruines - Marc Augé ] |

OVERWRITING TIME The "fragment" can be read in its ability to give rise to "other", without distorting its original founding character. The idea of an "incomplete restoration", in which the existing is not simply considered as an element to be rebuilt, but rather as a text on which to place new layer of meaning. |

The construction of a place takes on a founding function through a narrative operation. Telling a place means animating its physical perimeters, cutting its profile in the undifferentiated and inert space that surrounds it. In this sense, recovering the ruins and ensuring a new use means acting on the context and on the territory in a light and non-invasive way, without distorting the local and cultural aspects, thus generating a new story of the places and a new narrative. |
